Cathy and I spent a long weekend in Oregon visiting the folks, and squeezed in plenty of sightseeing including Crater Lake, Redwoods National Park in California, Crescent City, CA, Mt. Ashland, and more. We got to play in some serious snow, caught a Pacific breeze, and walked around in tree trunks. Not too shabby.
This actually may have been my final trip to visit them in Oregon, as they’ve recently decided to move back closer to home. They don’t yet know where they’re headed, and are keeping their options open to see what’s out there. I’ve always really enjoyed visiting them in Oregon – it’s beautiful country – but it’ll be nice to have them back closer to home. As they say, it’s just hard to get there from here.
